During another tumultuous season for the New York Knicks basketball team, former Knicks great Charles Oakley — seated near courtside — got into a heated scuffle with Madison Square Garden security during the L.A. Clippers-New York game that was televised nationally on ESPN on Feb. 8.
Oakley was subsequently escorted out of the arena and later arrested by police. ESPN’s Ian Begley reported he tried to approach Knicks owner James Dolan until security confronted him.
