Sunday Overnights: CBS Tops Modest Tallies

'Big Brother' on the Eye Net Expected to Lead the Evening in Adults 18-49

SUNDAY, JULY 15, 2018

Household Rating/Share
CBS: 3.3/ 6, ABC: 3.1/ 6, NBC: 2.2/ 4, Fox: 1.0/ 2

Note: Comparisons to the year-ago evening were not available.

Ratings Breakdown:
Only 43 percent of the primetime line-up last night was in originals. “Big Brother” on CBS finished second in the 8 p.m. ET hour with a 3.6 rating/7 share in households (opposite a 4.0/ 8 for an encore telecast of “Celebrity Family Feud” on ABC). And that should be more than enough for the Eye net to dominate the hour in adults 18-49 (and all the key young demo groups).

Original installments of ABC game shows “The 100,000 Pyramid” (#1: 3.3/ 6) and “To Tell the Truth” (#1: 2.6/ 5) topped the 9-11 p.m. block, with “To Tell the Truth,” hosted by Anthony Anderson, besting the final season of competing crime solver “Shades of Blue” on NBC (#2: 2.3/ 4) by 13 percent. NBC was wise to end “Shades of Blue” this season.

Earlier in the evening, Nat Geo hour “One Strange Rock” scored a 0.9/ 2 in the household overnights on Fox in the 7 p.m. hour. And another burn-off episode of canceled Fox sitcom “Ghosted” averaged a 1.0/ 2 (#4) at 9:30 p.m. The remainder of the evening was repeat telecasts.
