    LAST FALL’S FINALE IN VIEWERS

    CBS Wins Wednesday in Viewers

    Note: SURVIVOR ended at approximately 10:15 when the winner was announced. Preliminary ratings for the full program are subject to change.

    · From 8:00-10:00 PM, the finale of SURVIVOR was first in viewers (9.57m) and second in A18-49 (2.1, nc) and A25-54 (2.9) against the “Empire” season finale. SURVIVOR was up in viewers over last week (9.51m) and last fall’s finale (9.45m).

    · From 10:00-11:00 PM, which included the last 15 minutes of SURVIVOR, the live SURVIVOR REUNION show averaged 6.84m and was first in A18-49 (1.5) and A25-54 (2.1).

    · For the night, CBS was first in viewers (8.66m).

    ABC’s Wednesday Comedy Block Holds Strong Against Big Finale Competition with 4 of the Top 6 Shows

    ABC Wednesday Prime (8-11pm – 5.4 million and 1.4/5 in AD18-49): Opposite CBS’ 2-hour season finale of Survivor and Fox’s Empire finale, the season finale of ABC’s 8-10pm Wednesday comedy block delivered 4 of the Top 6 shows on the night. ABC’s Modern Family was Wednesday’s #2 TV series in Adults 18-49 (2.1/7 – tied w/Survivor) to Empire, The Goldbergs followed at #4 (1.8/7), The Middle #5 (1.6/6) and black-ish #6 (1.5/5). Despite the increased competition, all 4 of ABC’s comedies held steady week to week with each show even or within 1-tenth of their week-ago Fast Affiliate Adult 18-49 ratings.

    · In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” 0.8/4; “Late Show,” 0.3/1; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.5/2.

    · From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC’s “Nightline” averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

    · From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS’s “Late Late Show” (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Late Night” (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped “Late Late Show” (0.2/1).

    · At 1:35 a.m., “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

  4. Nice uptick to 1.5 and over 7 million viewers for CPD as that was some great growth too out of SVU which is being pulled down by Heartbeat right now. I think SVU and CPD will be up again for their season finales next week.

    CPD did not have its season finale last night that’s next week.

    The Middle might be in trouble this fall having to face The Voice and NCIS every week that’s why that Tuesday block will flop for ABC.
