Daytime Hour ‘Harry’ Renewed for Season Two

“Harry,” hosted by Harry Connick, Jr., has been greenlit for a second season in first-run syndication by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and the Fox Television Stations. The daytime talker, which debuted last September, just snagged five Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including a nomination for Entertainment Talk Show host for Connick. Entertainment themed, “Harry” features comedic segments, audience participation, human interest stories, celebrity interviews and musical performances led by Connick, who is supported by his touring band. Justin Stangel, Eric Stangel and Jason Kurtz are executive producers, along with Connick and Ann Marie Wilkins.

Season to-date in the category of talk (through March 12), “Harry” is tied with “Dr. Oz” from Sony Pictures Television at No. 10 amongst the 13 syndicated daytime talk shows, with a 1.3 household rating. First overall is “Dr. Phil” from CBS Television Distribution with a 3.5 rating; followed by “Live with Kelly” (Disney/ABC: 2.4); “Ellen DeGeneres Show” (Warner Bros.: 2.3); “Steve Harvey” (NBCU) and “Maury” (NBCU: 1.6 each); “Rachael Ray” (CTD), “Steve Wilkos” (NBCU) and “Jerry Springer” (NBCU: 1.3 each); aforementioned “Harry” and “Dr. Oz” (1.2 each); and “The Doctors” (CTD) and “The Real” (Warner Bros.), each with a 0.9 household rating each.
