‘Pawn Stars’ Surpasses 80 Percent Coverage in Off-Net

Reality Stalwart Launches in Off-Net Courtesy of Trifecta Entertainment on September 12

Reality staple “Pawn Stars,” which will debut in off-network syndication on a straight barter basis courtesy of distributor Trifecta Entertainment on Monday, Sept. 12, is now cleared in over 80 percent of the country. This includes clearances with Tribune Stations in 16 markets (including WPIX in New York), and stations within the Sinclair, Meredith, Media General, CBS, Nexstar, Scripps, Weigel, Gray, Cox and Tegna groups.

Debuting on July 19, 2009 on History (and renewed at present for two more seasons), Las Vegas-based “Pawn Stars” chronicles the daily activities at The World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, a 24-hour family owned business that opened in 1989 and is run by patriarch Richard “Old Man” Harrison, his son Rick Harrison, and Rick’s son Corey “Big Hoss” Harrison.

“Pawn Stars’ quick clearance in the broadcast marketplace is testament to the strength of the series and its ratings,”
said Sean Cohan, President, International & Digital Media, A+E Networks. “The show resonates culturally by showing history through a contemporary lens and we anticipate this appeal will generate continued success in the U.S. syndication marketplace with our distribution partner, Trifecta.”

“Trifecta is thrilled to continue our long-standing relationship with A+E Networks to bring this groundbreaking and iconic series to an all-new broadcast audience,” added Hank Cohen, CEO, Trifecta Entertainment & Media.
