Thursday Final Nationals: CBS Sitcoms ‘The Odd Couple’, ‘Mom’ and ‘2 Broke Girls’ Each Rise to Season-Highs in Adults 18-49

One broadcast network and one cable network claimed victory on Thursday night: CBS won among total viewers (7.89 million), adults 18-49 (1.7 rating/6 share), and adults 25-54 (2.5/7); TNT was tops among adults 18-34 (approximately, a 1.4 rating) with the continuing “NBA Playoffs”, helped by the Houston Rockets defeating the Golden State Warriors 97-96 in Game 3 of their Western Conference First Round series (2.93 household rating, 4.583 million viewers) drawing the best cable audience to-date for an NBA playoff game this past week. The game was up +15 percent in total viewership from the year-ago telecast (Golden State-New Orleans Game 3 on TNT Apr. 23, 2015: 3.99 million).

CBS had a particularly positive night with its comedy lineup. It included “The Big Bang Theory” continuing its TV’s No. 1 comedy status while “The Odd Couple”, “Mom” and “2 Broke Girls” each reached or tied their respective season highs in adults 18-49.

The night was not as positive over at ABC as the once-sizzling “Scandal” dropped to a series-low among adults 18-49, according to live plus same day data. Even “Grey’s Anatomy”, which performed relatively well amidst other current network drama fare, fell to its lowest adults 18-49 delivery since Apr. 2, 2015.

  1. Voted on the Live! with Kelly and Michael poll. Nice poll!

I have a GSN ratings request: Harvey Feud 6-8pm ET? Thank you.

      • Thank you! As always Douglas, you get credit in the GameShowNetworkNews article. I also tweeted you. The reason I ask for these ratings is because GSN just added Harvey Feud to 8pm and 8:30pm weeknights starting 4/25, which will likely lead to MONSTER Feud ratings. I’ll be in touch!

  2. Wait a minute: the viewer table at the bottom is in millions? So, First 48 on A&E generated 1,280 million viewers, meaning one billion, two hundred eighty million viewers?

I don’t know, seems kind of high to me …

  3. @SonOfTheBronx:disqus
Hey, do you happen to have Bones’ Live+3 demo and viewer numbers for Thursday? Thanks!

  4. Do you have the ratings for ‘Fluffy Breaks Even’ (Fuse) and ‘Gigolos’ (Showtime)? Thanks!
