Thursday Final Nationals: ‘Young Sheldon’ on CBS Vastly Improves Upon Recent ‘Big Bang Theory’ Lead-Outs

CBS returned its regularly-scheduled scripted lineup on the evening and won on Thursday among total viewers and adults 25-54.

The time slot premiere of “Big Bang Theory” spinoff “Young Sheldon” continued to thrive for CBS, and showed much improvement in the time slot (81 percent retention; 2.2 adults 18-49 rating, from BBT’s 2.7) over recent entry “The Great Indoors” from Oct. 27, 2016: 56 percent (1.91 rating, from BBT’s 3.39).

Thursday Night Football” between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets helped NFL Network win from 8-11 p.m. among adults 18-49 (approx. 1.7 rating) and adults 18-34 (approx. 1.2 rating).
