Thursday Final Ratings: PyeongChang Olympics on NBC Outlets Off 13 Percent from Comparable Night of Sochi Games

With a total audience delivery of 17.6 million viewers across NBC, NBCSN and streaming mediums, the final Thursday night of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics was down 13 percent from the comparable Thursday night of the Sochi Olympics of 2014 (20.3 million).

Thursday night’s NBC/NBCSN average of 17.4 million viewers delivered a 67 percent advantage over the combined 10.4 million primetime viewers for ABC, CBS and Fox, while the NBC-only 15.2 million viewers in the 8:30-11 p.m. ET primetime window topped by 46 percent the other broadcast networks.

Thursday night’s NBC/NBCSN viewership peaked at 18.8 million viewers from 10:30-10:45 p.m. ET, for the women’s free skate.
