‘Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart’ Scores 3.6 Million Viewers on Lifetime

Best Among All Television Movies on Ad-Supported Cable in Key Demos Since 'Whitney' in January 2015

Saturday’s premiere of the Lifetime Original Movie “Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart,” starring Lex Scott Davis, averaged 3.6 million viewers, 1.8 million adults 25-54, 1.7 million adults 18-49, 1.4 million women 25-54 and 1.3 million women 18-49 in the 8-10 p.m. block on Jan. 23. Comparably, this is now cable’s number one original movie with adults 25-54, women 25-54 and women 18-49 in one year since the January 2015 premiere of the Lifetime Original Movie “Whitney,” as well as the best among ad-supported cable with adults 18-49 since “Whitney.” Braxton executive produced the film, which is based on her memoir “Unbreak My Heart.”

Immediately following the movie at 10 p.m. was interview-themed special “Beyond the Headlines: Toni Braxton,” which averaged 2.8 million total viewers and as high as 1.4 million adults 25-54.

On Twitter, “Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart” was the most tweeted about program on television Saturday, with an 18 percent share of all Twitter TV activity. And it is now the most Tweeted movie for the television season to-date.
