Tuesday Final Nationals: Astros-Dodgers on Fox Second Most-Watched World Series Game 1 in Seven Years

Fox topped Tuesday with Game 1 of MLB’s “2017 World Series” between the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Averaging 14.968 million viewers from 8:04-10:40 p.m. ET, it was down 23 percent from last year’s Cubs-Indians (19.37 million; best mark since 2004) but up 0.2 percent from Mets-Royals in 2015 (14.94 million) and up 23 percent from Giants-Royals in 2014 (12.19 million). It’s the second best viewer mark since Rangers-Giants in 2010 (15.01 million).

At an 8.7 household rating and 15 share, Game 1 also tied for third best in ratings in six years, with Rangers-Cardinals in 2011.

Prime time half-hour breakdowns for “2017 World Series – Game 1” in household rating/share and total viewers (adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 rating/share), were as follows:
