Tuesday Final Nationals: Twins-Yankees on ESPN Post Fourth-Best MLB Wild Card Game Audience To-Date

CBS was Tuesday night’s most-watched network with an average of 11.18 million viewers. The network increased its audience on the night by four percent from last Tuesday.

NBC led prime time among adults 18-49 (2.2 rating/8 share) and adults 25-54 (2.8/9).

ESPN topped the night among adults 18-34 (1.92 rating from 8 p.m.-12:05 a.m.) thanks to their telecast of Major League Baseball’s “2017 American League Wild Card Game” that featured the Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees. At a 4.17 U.S. household rating and 6.733 million viewers, it ranks fourth-best in each rating and total viewership for a MLB Wild Card game since its 2012 inception. Only Cubs-Pirates on TBS in 2015 (5.0 rating, 8.3 million), Astros-Yankees on ESPN in 2015 (4.9 rating, 7.6 million), and Giants-Mets on ESPN in 2016 (4.5 rating, 7.42 million) rated and drew better than Twins-Yankees on ESPN.
