-Ratings Breakdown:
“America’s Got Talent” on NBC, of course, was the top-rated option on this first Tuesday (and first night) in August, with a hefty 8.3 rating/15 share in households from 8-10 p.m. Comparably, this was 14 percent above the 7.3/12 on the year-ago evening, which for a series in season 12 is unprecedented.

Once again, the rich stay rich in the summer while a newbie scripted drama like ABC’s “Somewhere Between” is lost at a mere 1.1/ 2 at 10 p.m. Leading out of “America’s Got Talent,” NBC’s “World of Dance” (#1: 4.5/ 8) is the only new network series resonating.

Elsewhere, repeat was the word of note. This is the summer, after all.

  1. I have to say Simon has been a nice guy on AGT. Tyra is doing a good job replacing Nick Cannon. What’s good about the show it is all kinds of talent.
