-Ratings Breakdown:
Game six of “The World Series” — Dodgers 3, Astros 1 — kept Fox in the overnight winner’s circle at an estimated 12.6 rating/21 share in households for the primetime portion (from 8-10 p.m. ET). The game ended at 11:44 p.m. ET. Despite Fox’s hefty dominance, this was still an estimated 14 percent below the 14.7/23 for the Cubs versus the Indians on the year-ago game six match-up.

Opposite baseball, the four competing networks all lost steam. CBS finished second overall with its compatible combination of “NCIS” (7.7/13), “Bull” (6.2/10) and “NCIS: New Orleans” (5.8/10), which each finished in the distant No. 2 spot behind baseball. NBC was third overall care of a clips edition (translation: repeat) of “The Voice” (#3: 4.1/ 7), the always addictive “This Is Us” (#3: 6.1/10) and “Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Brothers” (#3: 2.6/ 4). But the strength of “This Is Us” should be enough for NBC to have the advantage over CBS in adults 18-49 (and all the key demographics). As for “This Is Us,” please…we need to focus more on the present day.

Elsewhere, ABC was out of the competitive loop with its combination of “The Middle” (#4: 3.5/ 6), “Fresh Off the Boat” (#4: 2.4/ 4), “black-ish” (#4: 2.6/ 4), “The Mayor” (#4: 1.7/ 3) and freshman drama “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” (#4: 2.0/ 3), which were all season lows. And The CW featured “The Flash” (#5: 1.5/ 3) and “D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow” (#5: 1.0/ 2), which week-to-week was down by an average of 13 percent.
