  1. It looks like Powerless has quietly been pulled from NBC’s Thursday schedule. It looks like there’s a repeat of Superstore at 8 and a new episode of Superstore at 8:30.

  2. The Bates Motel SERIES FINALE last night was superb! It was at tragic “romantic” evening and it was fitting that it ended that way. I was on the edge of my seat. Great show and great cast. Vera and Freddie deserve awards after this season. Every episode this season blew me away. This is how you do a superb horror TV series. Hitchock and Anthony Perkins would be proud. I will miss the series.

    • An overall terrific series. My biggest qualm about the first half of the final season was that weird guy Chick played by Ryan Hurst. He had a connection only with Norma last season but inexplicably confided in Norman this year. You could imagine my happiness with the scene near the end of the season where Romero confronts Chick!

But the show got much better when it entered the Psycho phase with Rihanna.

Three minor flaws in the entertaining finale: Romero wanting to kill Norman in the woods but somehow turning his back to him (many Hollywood projects have depicted that lack of logical sequence); why not one police officer was stationed at the motel when it was known Norman had been taken?; and, why wasn’t Dylan taken into custody at the end, at least with an illegal handgun in his possession?!?

      Good finale, though!

      • I wish we could have seen Chick’s book but I Did get a chuckle when Romero just put a bullet in him for the hell of it Lol I did like his character. It was weird fun

Another thing is we didn’t ever find out if Dylan found out what happened to his dad. That was left open

I do agree about the flaw about somebody being on patrol at the motel. I was in a live chat watching it and a person pointed that one out. I had a hunch Romero could be an idiot and take his eyes off of Norman (and of course he did much to Romero’s own fate)

I’ll miss the show! A part of me wishes the ending could have been slightly different to leave open for a TV movie or something but who knows

  3. Gotham, Supergirl, Jane The Virgin, Quantico: 4 ratings disaster that needn’t have been…

Four renewed shows that had no business being renewed and are, unsurprisingly, killing the business on Mondays…

They manage to make the regular flop that is Taken look almost good in comparison.
