‘The Vampire Diaries’ on The CW Expected to Conclude Next Season

Current Friday Anchor Has Lost Steam Since Moving From Thursday

“The Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder announced to fans at WalkerStalker.com in Nashville that “The Vampire Diaries” will end after the upcoming eighth season. Co-star Kat Graham confirmed just last week that she was also leaving the show after this now potentially final season.

Debuting on Sept. 10, 2009 and once the crown drama jewel on The CW’s line-up, a move into the Friday 8 p.m. anchor position in January (to make way for “D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow” on Thursday) resulted in a noticeable loss of audience.

  1. I had a feeling that the 8TH Season was going to be it’s last when The CW renewed it.
