Wednesday Final Nationals: ESPN Tops Night with College Football’s Music City Bowl

A light programming schedule on the broadcast networks paved the way for ESPN to win this Wednesday evening among total viewers and all key demos, courtesy of college football’s Music City Bowl between Louisville and Texas A&M.

At 5.423 million total viewers, a 1.49 rating in adults 18-49, a 1.21 rating in adults 18-34 and a 1.76 rating among adults 25-54, drew the most total viewers for a Music City Bowl game since 2010 (North Carolina/Tennessee, 7.1 million) and ranks as the second-biggest audience for this particular bowl within the past decade (2006-15).

  1. Hi SonoftheBronx, I have a couple ratings requests from early 2014. Before I ask them, I want to make sure that it’ll be ok. So since it is a holiday weekend, would you mind answering the requests? Thank you.

      • If I wanted the numbers in order to complete the data, would Twitter be a better place to request? Once I can get the full data, I will have no more requests from earlier than November 16.

        • No, that’s okay. Asking for numbers on this site is fine. I didn’t get ratings nearly as often in early 2014 so doubt I’d have the stuff you’d be looking for.

          • Well I’m just trying to complete my Nurse Jackie, Californication, Episodes, House of Lies, and Halt and Catch Fire ratings. I’m missing 2 from Episodes and HOL, and 1 from HACF. But there are 7 I don’t have from NJ and Cali

            • I found only demo ratings via showbuzzdaily. Hope this help.
7/13/14 episode of ‘Halt and Catch Fire’: 0.26 A18-49
              3/23/14 episodes of ‘House of Lies’: 0.2(*NOT 0.20. One-decimal number) A18-49

              • Thank you for the demos! I’m just hoping someone has the actual viewership for them, but it doesn’t look like anyone does sadly.

          • Ok so I will do these 2-by-2 just as you want. So can I have the 7/13/14 episode of ‘Halt and Catch Fire’, and the 3/9 and 3/23/14 episodes of ‘House of Lies’? Thank You!

            • If I understand the ”request policy” of this site correctly you are supposed to ask for these ratings only on the ratings reports of 7/13/14 (for HCF) and 3/9/14 and 3/23/14 (for HoL) at the old web-site.

  2. Visitors requesting ratings are only allowed a MAXIMUM of TWO shows per query. You cannot make additional requests until the prior ones you had made are addressed.

With the exception of broadcast network half-hours, time-block requests will not be answered. Requests also won’t be fulfilled for a network’s show rankings nor telecasts of marathons longer than two-hour periods.

Please note Programming Insider will not answer any request for a show’s ratings prior to November 16, 2015. If you are requesting prior dates’ numbers from Nov. 16 or later, you MUST post your query as a comment at that respective date’s ratings page via http://programminginsider.com/category/ratings/

  3. Do you have ratings for The Amazing World of Gumball and We Bare Bears from 10 am to 12 pm? Thanks.
