Weekly Final Nationals: ‘Survivor’ Season Finale Leads CBS Among Adults 18-49

For the first time this season, an original episode of “The Big Bang Theory” spinoff “Young Sheldon” surpassed its lead-in on Dec. 21 (although its parent show was a rerun on the night, but the spinoff hadn’t improved upon a rerun of the parent show previously). The telecast ranked third in total viewers for the week.

“Survivor”, the long-running hit reality competition that launched in 2000, still showed its ratings prowess as its 35th season finale on Dec. 20 was CBS’ top adults 18-49 telecast for the week of Dec. 18; it ranked sixth on television overall. “Survivor” matched last season’s Spring and Fall editions in adults 18-49 (1.9) and beat last Spring’s finale in viewers (8.73m versus 8.35m).

What follows are the Live + Same Day results on the broadcast networks for the week of Dec. 18 (with change versus the comparable year-ago period in parentheses):
