YouTube Red Orders Comedy Pilot ‘High & Tight’

The Proposed Series Stars Sung Pang and Danny Pudi

YouTube Red ordered a pilot for “High & Tight,” a proposed new comedy starring Sung Kang (“Power”) and Danny Pudi (“Community”) about a young translator forced far beyond his comfort zone when he’s hired as the full-time interpreter-slash-babysitter for LA’s newly-signed and ill-behaved star Korean outfielder.

“High & Tight” is created and written by Chris Marrs (“Arrested Development”), who will also executive produce along with Kang, Alex Tse (“Superfly”), Tracey Baird and Krysia Plonka through Thank You, Brain! Productions (“Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television”), and Greg Walter and Josh Lieberman through 3Arts Entertainment. Todd Biermann is set to direct, and Pudi will serve as a producer.

Also featured will be Virginia Williams (“Fuller House”) plays the first female general manager in baseball history. Bruce McGill (“Family Guy”) plays as the team’s owner while Mircea Monroe (“Episodes”) plays as his wife.
