TNT officially tips off Turner Sports’ 32nd consecutive year of NBA coverage with the start of the 2015-16 NBA regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 27, with a highly anticipated doubleheader featuring the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors and 2014-15 NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry hosting the New Orleans Pelicans and All-Star Anthony Davis at 10:30 p.m. ET.
The night will also include Golden State’s championship ring ceremony prior to the opening tip of the Pelicans @ Golden State Warriors game.
It is the 20th straight season TNT has tipped off with two games on opening night. The night’s action will begin with a one-hour “TNT NBA Tip-Off” pre-game show at 7 p.m. ET.
Following the “TNT NBA Tip-Off” pre-game show, the Eastern Conference Champion Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James visit the Chicago Bulls and Derrick Rose at 8 p.m. ET.
Turner Sports will feature a 53-game schedule during the 2015-16 NBA regular season. There will be 10 appearances by the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers, nine appearances by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs, and seven appearances by the Houston Rockets.
TNT will televise 18 Thursday night NBA doubleheaders during the regular season.
The network will also showcase a primetime doubleheader on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Monday, Jan. 18) including an NBA Finals rematch with the Golden State Warriors visiting the Cleveland Cavaliers at 8 p.m. In the second game of the night, the Clippers will host James Harden and the Houston Rockets at 10:30 p.m.
In addition to its regular-season coverage, TNT will be the exclusive home of NBA All-Star Weekend’s signature events including the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, Feb. 12, State Farm All-Star Saturday Night on Feb. 13, and the 65th NBA All-Star Game from Toronto on Sunday, Feb. 14. The network will also televise more than 40 NBA Playoff games including first and second round action and the exclusive presentation of the 2016 NBA Western Conference Finals.
