The season finale of NFL Network’s “Thursday Night Football” on Fox and Amazon Prime features a high-stakes battle for AFC West leadership between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium (Dec. 13 at 8:20 p.m. ET on Fox, NFL Network and Amazon Prime). Los Angeles — winners of three straight games — looks for its first win over Kansas City since 2013, a span of nine games. Patrick Mahomes’ four touchdown passes led the Chiefs to a 38-28 victory over the Chargers in Week 1.
The AFC East-leading New England Patriots visit the Pittsburgh Steelers (Dec. 16 at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS). New England quarterback Tom Brady has 25 career regular-season TD passes versus Pittsburgh, with an additional five in the playoffs. Brady is 11-2 versus Pittsburgh, including playoffs, in his career. In addition, the Steelers are losers of three straight games despite remaining leader of the AFC North while the Patriots follow a devastating last-second 34-33 loss to the Dolphins in Miami from Dec. 9.
The Minnesota Vikings host the Miami Dolphins (Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS) as Minnesota seeks its first win over Miami since 2002. The Dolphins are 9-3 all-time against the Vikings, including a 24-7 victory in the 1973 Super Bowl. Minnesota is 4-2 on the campaign at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Houston Texans aim to win their fifth straight on the road as they play the New York Jets (Dec. 15 at 4:30 p.m. ET on NFL Network). Houston owns a 4-2 away mark, and has given up just 45 total points in its last three road games. New York, 2-4 at home, aims for its first win in New Jersey since Week 6.
The Carolina Panthers host the NFC South champion New Orleans Saints (Dec. 17 at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN). Carolina is still in the NFC playoff hunt despite a five-game losing streak. New Orleans won all three games versus Carolina last season, the first time a team has gone 3-0 against a single team in one campaign since 2009, when Dallas defeated Philadelphia three times.
