The final four NFL teams of 2019-20 are set to play on Jan. 19. Both games feature rematches of November contests from the regular season.
First up, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City will be the venue for the AFC Championship Game on CBS. It’ll be the second consecutive year the event will take place there as the Chiefs host the Tennessee Titans. On Divisional Playoff weekend, the Titans pulled off the biggest upset of the playoffs knocking off the AFC top seed Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs became the first playoff team to fall behind by more than 20 points (to the Houston Texans) and then win the game by more than 20 points. The Chiefs and the Titans last met in Nashville on Nov. 10 where the Titans had won 35-32 with a last-minute touchdown pass by Tennessee’s Ryan Tannehill and Tennessee blocking a last-second field goal attempt by Kansas City.
In prime time on Fox is the NFC Championship Game. The top two seeds of the conference – the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers – face off for the first time since a Sunday night contest on Nov. 24 (Week 12) when the 49ers dominated the Packers 37-8. In the Divisional round on Jan. 11-12, the 49ers beat the Minnesota Vikings 27-10 and the Packers escaped past the Seattle Seahawks 28-23.
The NFL will showcase the year’s all-star players in the annual Pro Bowl on Jan. 26 from Orlando, Florida, televised on ABC, ESPN and Disney XD.
