2021 NFL Regular Season Week 1 TV and Announcer Schedule

The NFL season kicks off when the defending champion Buccaneers host the Cowboys (NBC, Sep. 9 @ 8:20 PM ET). Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady, 44 years old, returns for a 22nd campaign. Brady, a record seven-time Super Bowl winner, needs 1,155 passing yards to become the all-time leader.

Trevor Lawrence makes his long-awaited NFL debut as his Jaguars open the season against the Texans (CBS, Sep. 12 @ 1 PM ET). Lawrence, who won the NCAA National Championship as a freshman at Clemson, was selected first overall by Jacksonville in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City host Cleveland (CBS, Sep. 12 @ 4:25 PM ET). Mahomes led KC a second straight Super Bowl in February, but was defeated by Tampa Bay. The Browns ended an 18-year playoff drought last season, culminating in a divisional round loss to the Chiefs.

Aaron Rodgers’ Packers face the Saints (Fox, Sep. 12 @ 4:25 PM ET). Rodgers ended an offseason of uncertainty by re-negotiating his contract and joining the team just before training camp in July. New Orleans begins the season without Drew Brees for the first time since 2005.

Matthew Stafford makes his debut in Rams blue against a familiar opponent in the Bears (NBC, Sep. 12 @ 8:20 PM ET). Stafford tossed 282 touchdown passes in 165 games over 12 seasons with the Lions before being traded. The first pick in the 2009 draft is 11-9 against Chicago.

The Raiders begin their second campaign in Las Vegas as they host the Ravens in this season opener (ABC/ESPN/ESPN2, Sep. 13 @ 8:15 PM ET). If Las Vegas defensive end Carl Nassib sees action, he will become the first openly gay athlete to take part in an NFL regular-season contest.
