The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominees for the 39th Annual Sports Emmy® Awards on Wednesday, March 28.

CBS led all networks in nominations with 31, followed by ESPN with 29. Fox received 21, NBC 18, FS1 16, ESPN2, TNT and NFL Network with 13 each, MLB Network 12, and NBCSN and TBS with 10 each.
The CBS telecast of the 118th Army-Navy game and newsmagazines “E: 60” (ESPN2) and “SC Featured” (ESPN/ESPNews) all tied for the lead having earned eight nominations apiece. The CBS broadcast of the AFC Championship: Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots received six nods, and CBS and Turner Sports’ coverage of the 2017 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament earned five nominations.
Sports television executive and talent agent Barry Frank will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The 39th Annual Sports Emmy® Awards will take place at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, located in the Time Warner Center on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in New York City.
