“Rawhide” with Clint Eastwood opened its seven-and-one-half season run on CBS in 1959. It ran for seven-and-one seasons, producing 217 episodes in total.

Music:
“More of the Monkees”, the second album by The Monkees, was released in 1967.  It displaced the band’s debut album from the top of the Billboard 200 chart and remained at No.1 for 18 weeks—the longest of any Monkees album. …John Lennon single “Nobody Told Me” was released posthumously in 1984…Also in 1984, rock band Van Halen put out their album “1984”…Michael Jackson received the Artist of the Century award at the “American Music Awards” in 2000.

Sports:
Jim Palmer and Joe Morgan were elected to Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990.

News:
The first photograph historically was captured in 1839 when the Daguerrotype process was s announced at French Academy of Science.
