UIAA Ice Climbing World Championships’ 2022 Live From Anywhere in the World

Dear Ice Climbing Fan’s welcome to the Super Weekend of Ice Climbing: UIAA Ice Climbing World and Youth Championships from all around the world take part in the four day competition. There is categories for Woman and Man in Youth 16, Youth 19, Youth 22 and adults. Event is free of charge for spectators. In addition to world class ice climbing, lots of fun activities at the competition site! The Ice Climbing World Cup in the parking garage of Saas-Fee has long established itself among athletes and numerous fans. The Ice Climbing World Championships will be held from January 26 to 29 in 2022.. On Wednesday 26th Youth Athlete and Senior Athlete sign in & briefing program and UIAA Ice Climbing World Championships 2022 Live Opening Ceremony, on Thursday 27th January there will be Ice Climbing World Championships Speed Qualification Live and Lead Qualification Live in Ice Dome. On Friday 28th Speed Qualification Male All Categories Live, Lead Qualification Live Female U19,U22, Senior Speed Finals Live Male & Female All Categories and the final day 29th January show Lead Finals Live U19 & U22 Male & Female, Lead Semifinals Live Senior Male & Female, Lead Final U16 Live Male & Female, Lead Final Men & Women Live. All climbers (Youth & Senior Male & Female) will show their speed at the ice wall and we will see, who will climb to the top at the lead climbing.

World Championships 2022 Venue Details

Saas-Fee, the popular resort in the Swiss Alps renowned for its unique ice tower and as a magnificent competition venue for over twenty years, will host the most significant event of the season, the World Championships which for the first time sees the full competition and the Youth Championships take place in the same slot (26 – 29 January). While the World Youth Championships have been held annually throughout recent years, the last Senior competition dates back to 2019 when the event was held in Kirov, Russia. Winners on that occasion were Nikolai Kuzovlev (men, lead – Russia), Woonseon Shin (women, lead – South Korea), Vladislav Iurlov (men, speed – Russia) and Maria Tolokonina (women, speed – Russia).
