Total Viewers:
CBS: 3.81 million, ABC: 3.42, NBC: 2.88, Fox: 1.34, CW: 402,000
Adults 18-49:
ABC: 0.8 rating/6 share, NBC: 0.4/ 3, CBS: 0.3/ 3, Fox: 0.2/ 2, CW: 0.0/ 0
There two two season premieres, NBC sitcoms “Young Rock” and “Mr. Mayor”, and both fared poorly as follows:
NBC
Tuesday 8 p.m. – “Young Rock”
Viewers: 2.50 million (#3); A18-49: 0.4/ 3 (#2t)
Tuesday 8:30 p.m. – “Mr. Mayor”
Viewers: 2.03 million (#3); A18-49: 0.4/ 3 (#2t)
Keep in mind that the comedies faced encore telecasts of “FBI” on CBS, “The Resident” on Fox, and “Superman & Lois” on The CW, which only magnifies these lackluster returns. For more on “Mr. Mayor”, click here
Next on NBC was “This Is Us” (Viewers: #2, 3.99 million; A18-49: #1, 0.6/ 5 at 9 p.m.), which is concluding at the right time. The family drama is a shell of its former great self. And that led into led into episode two of the Renee Zellweger true crime limited series “The Thing About Pam” (Viewers: #2, 2.38 million; A18-49: #1t, 0.3/ 3), which fell 15 percent in total viewers and approximately 25 percent in demo from its debut of one week prior.
In season-finale news was ABC’s “The Bachelor”, which topped the night in adults 18-49 with a 1.0 rating/8 share (and 4.43 million viewers – #1) overall. These days any broadcast network series that can hit the 1.0 rating mark in the demo has to be considered a positive.
“The Bachelor” led into two repeat installments of just renewed ABC sitcom “Abbott Elementary” in the Tuesday 10 p.m. hour. For more on “Abbott Elementary”, click here.
Elsewhere, CBS, Fox and The CW were in all repeats.
