Television
Music variety themed “Hullabaloo” on NBC, which was patterned after “American Bandstand,” ended its two season run in 1966.

NBC’s “Hill Street Blues” hit the 100-episode mark in 1985. The highly honored police drama concluded two seasons later after 146 episodes…“704 Hauser,” the fifth — and final — spin-off from “All in the Family,” debuted on CBS in 1994.  It ran for only five episodes and was set in the old Bunker house.

Conan O’Brien and TBS signed the deal for Conan’s current late night talker in 2010, which opened on Nov. 8, 2010.

Movies
“Marty”, directed by Delbert Mann and starring Ernest Borgnine and Betsy Blair premiered in New York in 1955. It won four Oscars: Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Director, and Best Writing, Sceenplay (Paddy Chaeyefsky).

“The Avengers”, directed by Joss Whedon and starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner, premiered in Los Angeles in 2012.

Music
Frank Sinatra recorded single “Strangers in the Night” for his album of the same name in 1966. It reached #1 on the Billboard charts…The Beatles single “Let It Be” rose to #1 on the Billboard charts in 1970.

Technology
The Apple I computer, created by Steve Wozniak was released in 1976.

Oscar winner Joel Gray (“Cabaret”) is 92; Louise Lasser (“Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman”) is 85; actress Jennifer Esposito is 51.

“All in the Family” spun-off five series: “Maude” (1972-78), “The Jeffersons” (1975-85), “Archie Bunker’s Place” (1979-83), “Gloria”(1982-83) and “704 Hauser” (1994). “Maude” spun-off “Good Times”(1974-79), and Marla Gibbs as Florence Johnston on “The Jeffersons” was featured for four episodes in 1981 sitcom “Checking In.
