-Ratings Analysis:
The dramatic percent shift for ABC and Fox last night was a result of Fox airing “The Emmy Awards” on the year-ago evening. That said, “The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards” on ABC, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, dipped to an estimated 8.4 rating/13 share in the household overnights from 8-11 p.m., which comparatively was down by three percent from the 8.7/14 on Fox on the year-ago evening. That 8.7 overnight rating translated into 11.87 million viewers, based on the Live + Same Day data, which was an all-time low for any Emmys telecast. For the complete listing of winners, click here

The “Sunday Night Football” match-up on NBC was between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings, and it was below average (but still very dominant) at an estimated 13.7/22 in the household overnights for the primetime portion. One year earlier, the Seattle Seahawks at the Green Bay Packers scored 16.3/27.

Earlier in the evening on NBC was “Football Night in America” at a 2.0/ 4 (#4) at 7 p.m., a 4.9/ 8 (#2) at 7:30 p.m. and an 8.7/14 (#1t) in the 8 p.m. half-hour. As a reminder, results for any live event are always estimated.

Individual program averages on CBS are approximate due to an NFL Football overrun, which scored a 14.6/26 (#1) in the 7 p.m. half-hour. That led into a later version of “60 Minutes” (which included some of the football overrun) at a 9.9/17 from 7:30-8:30 p.m., followed by part one of “The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey” at a very respectable 7.1/11 from 8:30-10:30 p.m. A repeat of “NCIS: Los Angeles” capped off the night for CBS with a 3.6/ 6 from 10:30-11:30 p.m.

Fox was in all repeats care of two episodes of “Bob’s Burgers” (#4: avg. 1.6/ 3 from 7-8 p.m.) and “The “Simpsons” (#4: avg. 1.2/ 2 from 8-9 p.m.), a “Family Guy” (#4: 1.3/ 2) and “The Last Man of Earth” (#4: 0.9/ 1) from 9-10 p.m.
