Here we have the 2022 Brownlow Medal live stream, channel 7 TV coverage, and how to watch online in Australia. Once more, that time of year has arrived. The Brownlow Medal 2022 will kick off a week-long celebration leading to the AFL Grand Final.
This year’s ceremony will take us back to Melbourne’s Crown Palladium for the first time since 2019. Due to the tragic passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the ceremony has also been rescheduled from its customary Monday night time slot.
Preview
The Brownlow Medal is officially called the ‘Charles Brownlow Trophy.’ The medal is presented by Australian rules football to the season’s best and fairest player. It first premiered in 1924 and has been shown every season thereafter, except 1942-1945 due to World War II. It is named after Charles Brownlow, a former Geelong Football Club player (1880-1891), club secretary (1885-1923), and VFL president (1918-19).
Brownlow Medal 2022 Date and Time
The 2022 Brownlow Medal Count will take place on Sunday, September 18, with the event beginning at 7 p.m. AEST. This year’s event has been rescheduled to avoid conflict with Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
The evening show will begin at 6 p.m. AEST, when the top players, AFL officials, and industry people will arrive. The Brownlow Medal winner will be announced between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. AEST.
Venue
The Brownlow Medal ceremony 2022 will take place in Melbourne’s Crown Palladium this year. While the event is held here every year, it has been held in different locations for the past two years. As a result, it will return to its original venue for the first time since 2019.
How to Watch Brownlow Medal on TV
Since 2011, Channel Seven has had exclusive television airing rights to the Brownlow Medal. This year will be no exception. The Brownlow Medal presentation and winners’ speech will be followed by their broadcast, which will start at 7 p.m. AEST and last until 11:30 p.m. AEST.
However, it may be available on 7mate in your area. Please verify your local guide for confirmation. Additionally, unlike most other AFL events, the Brownlow count will not be available to watch on Fox Footy.
How to Stream Brownlow Medal Online
Unfortunately, no live-streaming option will be available for this year’s Brownlow Medal. Channel Seven holds exclusive broadcasting rights to the Brownlow Medal event. As such, neither Fox Footy nor Kayo Sports can’t steam the event online.
Furthermore, Channel Seven doesn’t own any digital right to stream the event. This means it won’t be available on their streaming service, 7plus. Regrettably, the only method of watching the 2022 Brownlow Medal ceremony will be on live television.
Conclusion
The Brownlow Medal ceremony is one of the most anticipated events of the Australian Football League. Every year, domestic and international supporters of the league eagerly await their favorite player to earn the highest level of achievement in Australian rules football.
While it is unfortunate that there is no means to stream the event online, we will be there for international fans. We will keep you up to date on the latest voting information and upcoming AFL and Brownlow Medal 2022 news.
