THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LI WILL BE TELEVISED
The National Football League announced its postseason television schedule on Sunday, January 1.
Wild Card weekend marks the kickoff to the NFL postseason on Jan. 7-8.
ESPN and ABC will simulcast the first game of these playoffs on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 4:35 p.m. ET: Oakland Raiders at the AFC South winner Houston Texans.
NBC will air the Detroit Lions at the NFC West division winner Seattle Seahawks in prime time on Jan. 7.
The Miami Dolphins will make their first playoff appearance in eight years as they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the AFC North division winner Steelers in the early Sunday, Jan. 8 afternoon slot on CBS.
Then, at 4:40 p.m. ET, NFC East division champion New York Giants — reaching their first postseason since winning Super Bowl XLVI in Feb. 2012 — will visit Lambeau Field in Wisconsin to face Aaron Rodgers and the NFC North winner Green Bay Packers on Fox.
The home teams and their scheduled times have also been announced for the following weekend’s Divisional playoff games. CBS has the New England Patriots on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 8:15 p.m. ET and NBC has the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 8:20 p.m. Fox will have the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 4:35 p.m. and the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Jan. 16 at 4:40 p.m.
The playoffs conclude with the granddaddy television event of the year, Super Bowl LI, on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. from NRG Stadium in Houston, Tex. and broadcast on Fox.
