CBS led Thursday night in almost every figure: total viewers (8.71 million), adults 18-49 (1.7/6 rating/share), and adults 25-54 (2.5/7).
ABC garnered the win among adults 18-34 (1.0/4), due to the 2-hour news special “Truth and Lies: The Menendez Brothers – American Sons, American Murderers.” From 9-11 p.m., it won its 2-hour time period, beating its nearest competition (CBS) by 8 percent in Total Viewers, by 33 percent in Adults 18-49 and by 22 percent in Adults 25-54.
“Truth and Lies: The Menendez Brothers – American Sons, American Murderers” drew ABC’s biggest audience to the 2-hour time period with non-sports programming since New Year’s Eve 2015. In addition, it delivered the network’s best non-sports performance in the slot in 11 months with Adults 18-49 (tie) and Adults 25-54 – since Feb. 11, 2016.
