What follows are the metered market household results by half-hour for Sunday, April 30:
Household Rating/Share
CBS: 5.4/ 9, NBC: 3.9/ 7, ABC: 2.3/ 4, Fox: 1.2/ 2
Percent Change from the Year-Ago Evening:
NBC: + 3, CBS: -11, ABC: -15, Fox: -37
Ratings Breakdown:
CBS closed the month of April on a winning overnight household note with its line-up of “60 Minutes” (#1 for the evening: 6.8 rating/13 share), “NCIS: Los Angeles” (#1: 6.0/10), “Madam Secretary” (#1: 5.5/ 9) and “Elementary” (#1t: 3.2/ 6). While 7-10 p.m. on Sunday next season can certainly remain intact on the Eye net, 10 p.m. is in need of repair.
Tops on NBC, mirroring recent weeks, was “Little Big Shots” at a healthy 5.5/ 9 from 8-9 p.m., which led into a 3.9/ 6 (#2) at 9 p.m. for recent entry “Chicago Justice.” Chances of a second season of “Chicago Justice” remain very likely, with four hours of the “Chicago”-set drama franchise expected to remain intact.
Already renewed NBC crime solver “Shades of Blue” tied aforementioned “Elementary” on CBS, with a 3.2/ 6 at 10 p.m. Earlier in the evening was an encore of “Little Big Shots” at a 3.1/ 6 at 7 p.m.
Elsewhere, the overnight results were slim. Outside of a second-place 3.3/ 6 for ABC’s veteran “America’s Funniest Home Videos” at 7 p.m., “Once Upon a Time” (#3: 2.1/ 3), “The Match Game” (#3: 2.3/ 4) and anthology “American Crime” (#3: 1.5/ 3) barely registered from 8-11 p.m. And Fox was basically off the charts with its combination of “Bob’s Burgers” (two episodes – repeat and original – 7 p.m. 0.9/ 2; 7:30 p.m.: 1.1/ 2), “The Simpsons” (1.4/ 2), “Making History” (0.9/ 1), “Family Guy” 1.6/ 3) and “The Last Man on Earth” (1.3/ 2). Fox, no doubt, finished fourth in each half-hour.
