Monday Final Nationals: ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ on ABC Earns Best-Ever Season Premiere Among Young Adults

The return of guilty-pleasure “Bachelor in Paradise” amid controversy put ABC in front in adults 18-49 (1.3 rating/5 share) and adults 18-34 (1.1/5). For a season premiere of this reality series, it drew a three-year high among live-plus-same day total viewers and delivered its best-ever adults 18-49 performance. “Bachelor in Paradise” received extra attention this summer after it was reported that participants DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios had engaged in alleged sexual misconduct of which Olympios had claimed assault — all of which were later investigated by Warner Bros. and ABC production and that no wrongdoing had occurred. None of their intimate interactions were displayed in the episode.

Prime time half-hour breakdowns for “Bachelor in Paradise” in household rating/share and total viewers (adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 rating/share), were as follows:

8:00 3.6/7, 5.465 million (1.4/8, 1.6/7, 1.9/7)

NBC led Monday in total viewers (5 million) and adults 25-54 (1.6/5).
