Only four-tenths of a household rating point separated the three NBC dramas, with “The Blacklist” at a 4.2 rating/7 share at 8 p.m. (#2), followed by veteran “Law & Order: SVU” (#3: 4.0/ 6) and “Chicago PD” (#1: 4.4/ 8) from 9-11 p.m. And the password is consistency.

The Wednesday 9 p.m. hour offered another competitive battle between the three scripted dramas, with Fox’s recently introduced “9-1-1” first at a 4.2/ 7, followed by CBS’ freshman “SEAL Team” (#2: 4.1/ 7), and NBC’s aforementioned “Law & Order: SVU.” Of note for already renewed “9-1-1” was overnight growth out of lead-in “The X-Files” (#4: 2.5/ 4 at 8 p.m.) of 68 percent, and growth from year-ago time period occupant “Star” (3.0/ 5 on 2/01/17) of 40 percent.

Earlier in the evening on CBS was rejuvenated “The Amazing Race” at a dominant 4.3/ 7 in the household overnights at 8 p.m. Comparably, that was 26 percent above year-ago time period occupant “Hunted” (3.4/ 5 on 2/01/17). But aging “Criminal Minds” on the Eye net at 10 p.m. (#2: 3.4/ 7) was 21 percent below medical drama “Code Black” on the year-ago evening (4.3/ 8). “Code Black” will return for season three on Wednesday, May 2.

Elsewhere, ABC featured encore telecasts of 8-10 p.m. sitcoms “The Goldbergs” (#3: 3.1/ 5), “Speechless” (#4: 2.2/ 4), “Modern Family” (#4: 2.4/ 4) and “American Housewife” (#4: 2.0/ 3), followed by “The Match Game,” hosted by Alec Baldwin, at 10 p.m. (#3: 2.0/ 4). And The CW was at typical Wednesday overnight levels care of “Riverdale” (#5: 1.1/ 2 at 8 p.m.) and Friday-bound “Dynasty” (#5: 0.5/ 1 at 9 p.m.).
