Ratings Breakdown:
CBS topped the household overnights on this second Sunday in July, besting No. 2 ABC by three-tenths of a rating point (or 10 percent). Both networks could be neck and neck for dominance in adults 18-49 considering three-quarters of the Eye net’s line-up was in repeats.

In the 8-9 p.m. ET battle of “Celebrity Family Feud” on ABC versus “Big Brother” on CBS, the Steve Harvey-hosted game show had the overnight advantage with a 4.0 rating/7 share versus a 3.5/ 6 for “Big Brother.” My pick to go the distance on this new season of “Big Brother”: surfer dude Tyler.

“Celebrity Family Feud” led into a dominant 3.2/ 6 in the household overnights for “The $100,000 Pyramid” on ABC at 9 p.m., followed by a 2.5/ 5 (#1) for “To Tell the Truth” at 10 p.m. Comparably, “To Tell the Truth,” hosted by Anthony Anderson, was just ahead of another original episode of the final season of crime solver “Shades of Blue” on NBC (2.2/ 4).

Also original last night was the Sunday 7 p.m. time period debut of NBC’s “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” (#3: 1.3/ 3), which faced Nat Geo’s “One Strange Rock” on Fox (#4: 0.7/ 1), and another burn-off episode of canceled Fox sitcom “Ghosted” (#4: 0.8/ 1 at 8:30 p.m.).
