NBC Picks Up ‘Superstore’ for Season Five

NBC has greenlit sitcom “Superstore” for a fifth season, with an unconfirmed number of new episodes for 2019-20. Debuting on November 30, 2015, “Superstore” follows a group of employees working at “Cloud 9”, store number 1217, a fictional department store in St. Louis, Missouri. 

While modest at best in the traditional Nielsen ratings, “Superstore”  is one of the most potent digital performers on the NBC schedule, deriving 44 percent of its live plus seven day plus digital rating in adults 18-49 from non-linear sources. Comparably, that is the second biggest percentage on the NBC schedule (behind “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”).
 
Superstore” returns to the NBC lineup this Thursday, March 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
