Wednesday Final Nationals: ‘Criminal Minds’ on CBS Delivers 16-Month Viewer-High as Shemar Moore Departs

Clippers-Warriors on ESPN Tops All Key Young and Male Demos on Cable

CBS was the overall winning network on this Wednesday night among total viewers (9.34 million), adults 18-49 (1.9 rating/7 share), adults 18-34 (1.1/5) and adults 25-54 (2.7/8).

The departure of actor Shemar Moore from “Criminal Minds” lifted the series to its most-watched telecast in live+same day viewers since Nov. 26, 2014; its best adults 18-49 delivery since Jan. 14, 2015. Moore spent nearly all of 11 seasons on the crime drama as FBI Special Agent Derek Morgan.

The top cable telecast among all key young and male demos was ESPN’s NBA telecast of “Golden State Warriors’ 114-98 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers” (1.64 household rating, 2.568 million total viewers). To-date, the Warriors are 33-0 this season at home and 64-7 overall. They need 9 more regular season wins (within the 11 remaining in 2016) to set the new all-time record for best winning regular season in NBA history.
