Ratings Breakdown:
The immediate observation about last night was the year-to-year household overnight erosion for all five broadcast networks. ABC, as usual, topped the Monday overnights with a 7.9 rating/12 share in households for “Dancing With the Stars” from 8-10 p.m. But competing “The Voice,” which scored a 6.5/10 from 8-10 p.m., will easily lift NBC to dominance in adults 18-49 (and all the key young adult demographics).

In the battle of the three 10 p.m. dramas, “NCIS: Los Angeles” on CBS led with a 5.0/ 9 in the overnights. Next was ABC’s “Castle” (4.1/ 7), which is about to get renewed, followed by “Blindspot” on NBC (#3: 3.7/ 6). But “Blindspot,” which slipped by 40 percent from the 9:30 p.m. portion of “The Voice,” is a safe bet to dominant the time period in the key demos.

In season-finale news, “Supergirl” on CBS closed season one with a third-place 3.9/ 6 in the overnights at 8 p.m. While not officially renewed yet, a second season for “Supergirl” is a safe prediction. Next was sophomore drama “Scorpion” at 9 p.m. (#3: 5.5/ 8), which increased by a hefty 41 percent in households.

Elsewhere, compatibility remained the observation for Fox dramas “Gotham” (#4: 2.7/ 4) and “Lucifer” (#4: 2.6/ 5). And The CW capped off the evening with its low-rated, but already renewed, pairing of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” (#5: 0.6/ 1) and “Jane the Virgin” (#5: 0.8/ 1).
