The CW Scraps Plans for ‘Wonder Girl’

Proposed Series Would Have Marked the First Arrowverse Series Headlined by a Latina Actress

The CW has opted against moving forward on DC action drama “Wonder Girl.” The series was supposed to center around a new DC character named Yara Flor, who debuted last month as part of DC Comics’ Future State event. The live-action series would have marked the first Arrowverse series headlined by a Latina actress.

“Supergirl” and “The Flash” producer Greg Berlanti had been on board to executive produce. the one-hour drama centered on Latina Dreamer Yara Flor, born to an Amazonian warrior and Brazilian river god. Sarah Schechter and David Madden had also been set to produce for Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
