ABC Cancels ‘Time After Time’

Series Canceled After Five Episodes

ABC has pulled time travel-themed Sunday night drama “Time After Time” after five low-rated episodes. Debuting on March 5, the series was developed by Kevin Williamson and was based on the novel of the same name. New episodes of “Match Game” will take over the Sunday 9 p.m. ET hour effective on April 2. Freddie Stroma starred as H.G. Wells, a 19th-century author and intellectual who invented a time machine and travels to 2017 to capture John; and Josh Bowman as John Stevenson / Jack the Ripper, a London surgeon and Wells’s friend who is secretly a notorious serial killer, and escapes, using Wells’s time machine, to 2017.

There are no plans for ABC to burn-off the remaining episodes of “Time After Time” at a later time.
