It is not exactly a ratings success story. “A Million Little Things” on ABC, in fact, ranks third in total viewers in the Wednesday 10 p.m. ET hour (behind “Chicago PD” on NBC and fading “Criminal Minds” on CBS), with an average of 8-million based on the Live+Same Day data from Nielsen. But ABC has ordered four additional episodes, bringing the season one order to 17.
The alphabet net has also ordered one additional episode of sitcom “The Conners,” sans Roseanne Barr, bringing its season one order to 11. Just one additional episode could be a reflection of the availability of John Goodman, Lori Metcalf and Sara Gilbert.
ABC previously gave full season orders to sophomore drama “Station 19” and freshman comedy “Single Parents.”
