ABC Releases Retro-Style Promos for Their Current and Upcoming Programs

On a night already filled with nostalgia on ABC, thanks to the Dec. 18 “Live in Front of A Studio Audience” event featuring recreated episodes of “Good Times” and “All in the Family“, the network debuted on-air promos in the style of ABC in the 1970’s and early 1980’s.

Steve French, an on-air announcer for ABC’s “Match Game”, impersonated the late Ernie Anderson — the voice for most of ABC’s series commercials from four decades ago — for each promo of what’s upcoming on ABC.

Check out promos for the NBA on Christmas Day (“Christmasketball”), Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time, The Bachelor (set to “Dating Game” theme), the Tuesday and Wednesday night comedy blocks, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Good Morning America, A Million Little Things, Stumptown, The Rookie and The Oscars.
