ABC Renews ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Station 19’

'Grey's Anatomy' Heads Into Season 18 and Spinoff 'Station 19' Into Season 5

Veteran ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ which holds the record historically as the longest-running medical drama in television history, has been renewed by ABC for an 18th season. Original cast members Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson and James Pickens, Jr. are all confirmed to return.

Additionally, the network also announced a fifth season for spinoff “Station 19.” Showrunner Krista Vernoff will remain at the helm of both shows. Both series are produced by ABC Signature, one of the Disney Television Studios.
