ABC Renews ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’ for Season Seven

ABC has greenlit action drama “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” for a seventh season prior to its upcoming sixth season, which is slated for next summer. Debuting on Sept. 24, 2013, the series is created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen and is based on the Marvel Comics Organization S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division), a fictional peacekeeping and spy agency in a world of superheroes. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sharing continuity with the films and other television series in the franchise. 

The series stars stars Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Jeff Ward.

ABC has not confirmed how many new episodes of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” it has ordered.
