ABC Renews ‘The Rookie’ for the Full Season

Number of New Episodes Ordered Not Confirmed

ABC has announced a full season renewal for freshman drama “The Rookie,” starring Nathan Fillion. Traditionally, a full first season order is 9 additional episodes past the initial 13. But full season means anything at present and the network has not mentioned how many additional episodes it ordered.

Debuting on Oct. 16, “The Rookie” follows John Nolan (Fillion), a forty-year-old man, who becomes the oldest rookie at the Los Angeles Police Department. The series is produced by ABC Studios and The Mark Gordon Company.
