ABC Trims ‘Imaginary Mary’ Episode Order

Reducing the Episode Order Before a Series Premieres if the Proverbial 'Kiss of Death'

ABC has slashed the episode order of upcoming Sony TV/ABC Studios midseason comedy “Imaginary Mary” from 13 to 9. Citing needing more time to produce this hybrid of live-action and animation, “Imaginary Mary” from Adam F. Goldberg centers on Alice (Jenna Elfman), a 30-something bachelorette whose life is turned upside down when she finally meets the love of her life — a divorced father with three kids (Stephen Schneider). This triggers even more upheaval when the slightly unhinged imaginary friend she created as an only child, Mary (voiced by Rachel Dratch) suddenly reappears in her life to help her navigate the transition from single girl to a woman ready for a family.

The cast of “Imaginary Mary” also includes Nicholas Coombe, Matreya Scarrwener and Erica Tremblay.
