Adam Sandler Performs Heartfelt Tribute to Chris Farley on ‘Saturday Night Live’

In his first time hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ since last being the show’s regular cast member in 1995, Adam Sandler closed the night with a song that tributes his friend and former fellow cast member, the late Chris Farley. First featured in Sandler’s “100% Fresh” Netflix special in 2018, the tune details several of the fond moments he and Farley had on ‘SNL’ in the early 90’s, as well as the heartbreaking funeral for Farley around Christmastime in 1997. (Farley had passed away at the age of 33 from a drug overdose.)

Sandler sang about Farley: “And when they ask me who’s the funniest guy I ever knew, I tell ‘em hands down without a doubt, it’s you.”
