A&E Extends Episode Order for ‘Live PD’

Season One to Now Feature 21 Episodes

A&E has extended the episode order of the current first season of “Live PD,” hosted by Dan Abrams, to 21 episodes. Debuting on Oct. 28, “Live PD,” airing live (albeit on a tape delay because of the unpredictable nature of law enforcement activity), showcases the policing of America by following six diverse police departments in real time as they patrol their communities on a Friday night. New episodes continue Friday nights at 9 p.m. ET with two extra episodes on Saturday, February 4 and February 11 at 9 p.m.

Since its premiere, “Live PD’” has averaged 1.1 million total viewers a week in Live+7 viewing, outperforming A&E’s regular primetime average by 29 percent in total viewers. The series has also been nominated for a Director’s Guild Award in the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Reality Programs category.

David Doss, former news executive producer at CNN, ABC and NBC, serves as show runner for the series.
