Amazon Prime Announces April 12 Start Date for ‘Fallout’

Prime Video has announced the release date of April 12, 2024 for its upcoming post-apocalyptic drama series “Fallout,” adapted from the video game franchise of the same name. The series, starring Walton Goggins, takes place in a future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. The logline: Citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants and bandits after nuclear annihilation. The story begins in Vault 33, one such bunker that is a prominent setting in the video games. The “Fallout” show will also take place in the official canon of the games.

The series cast includes Ella Purnell (“Yellowjackets”), Aaron Moten (“Emancipation”), Moisés Arias (“The King of Staten Island”), Kyle MacLachlan (“Twin Peaks”), Sarita Choudhury (“Homeland”), Michael Emerson (“Lost”), Leslie Uggams (“Deadpool”), Frances Turner (“The Boys”), Dave Register (“Heightened”),Zach Cherry (“Severance”), Johnny Pemberton (“Ant-Man”), Rodrigo Luzzi (“Dead Ringers”), Annabel O’Hagan (“Law & Order: SVU”), and Xelia Mendes-Jones (“The Wheel of Time”).

Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, writers and co-showrunners. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy executive produce via Kilter Films under their Amazon overall deal. Athena Wickham of Kilter Films also executive produces along with Todd Howard for Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks. Amazon and Kilter Films produce in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks. Nolan directed the first three episodes of the epic series.
