Amazon is moving forward on a second season of fantasy drama “Good Omens”, which was initially intended as a one season limited entry. Created and written by Neil Gaiman and based on his and Terry Pratchett’s 1990 novel of the same name, “Good Omens” follows various characters all trying to either encourage or prevent the coming of an imminent Armageddon. Michael Sheen and David Tennant lead the ensemble cast.

Per Amazon, the second season “will explore storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley. Having been on Earth since The Beginning and with the Apocalypse thwarted, Aziraphale and Crowley are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery.”

Six new episodes of “Good Omens” will make up the second season.
